When Katherine Pistorius was in school, she enjoyed math and science. She set out to earn a degree in industrial engineering in part because it would let her travel the globe. In college, she interned at an elevator company and graduated from Penn State. Currently, she works as a project engineer at Edro Specialty Steels in Pennsylvania where she’s the only female engineer in the company. Katherine’s main focus is Edro’s lean manufacturing initiative. She is also working on Six Sigma training. In addition, Katherine has had the opportunity to travel, spending time in Germany, Austria and California.
