Owain Harris is a talented wood worker who makes furniture in Florida. He started in his early twenties and continues to this day. He specializes in built-in cabinetry and often does pieces for birthday and anniversary gifts. The tools of his trade are the vacuum press and CNC router, although he does also use a lot of simple hand tools as well. He enjoys teaching as well, as it revives his interest in wood-working in general
- Owain Harris was working as a bartender when he decided he wanted a new career.
- Harris’s recent projects include a renovation of an Airstream and some architectural millwork.
- He used Art Deco style for his “Escape Velocity” sideboard and a console table.
“Eventually, through stints as a finish carpenter and a remodeler in partnership with a friend, Owain connected with an Art Nouveau style furniture maker who had a “huge commission” in Florida.”
